About INVISIBLE

AI is becoming part of everyday life. Yet important knowledge about it, its aesthetics and its underlying technologies remain invisible. I created INVISIBLE to explore how art can offer a way into this knowledge.

The title refers to what remains unseen when we encounter a finished work. An image may reveal little about how it was made. The role of AI may be unclear. Human decisions and the conditions of participation may also remain outside the frame. I hope that curatorial design and interpretation can bring these aspects into view.

This exhibition presents five works by my friends. I am grateful for their trust and support. Each work involves AI differently. The works inform a four-part interpretive framework: production and labour, authorship and responsibility, aesthetic judgement, and participation.

AI art often meets with scepticism. I want to give viewers enough context to form their own judgements. Each artwork page introduces the work. Viewers can then open questions about its process and the role of AI. This structure leaves room for curiosity and reconsideration.

The exhibition begins with a short, playful interaction. I wanted visitors to enter through enjoyment and a little reflection. The interaction invites them to consider a question: what am I not seeing yet?

I built the entire website using Codex. AI therefore also participates in the exhibition’s presentation. Its role forms part of the process that INVISIBLE seeks to make visible.
